About Unity
Unity is the world’s leading real-time development platform with 70% of applications built on the platform. Since 2016, Unity and Circuit Stream have been collaborating to create new content, courses, and certificates enabling learners to build real-time 3D skills.
In 2020, Unity used Circuit Stream's instructional development team to co-create certificate courses to Unity's training standards and best practices.
Together, Circuit Stream and Unity built the Certified Associate: Programmer and Certified Associate: Artist certificates that are designed to help learners improve their working knowledge of the Unity engine and get their first professional role.
Certificates
Through this course, you will gain internationally recognized development certificates that will support the building of your skills and advancement of your career in immersive technology.
This includes a certificate of completion from UBC Extended Learning and Circuit Stream.
Circuit Stream certificates are defined by Open Badge standards (OBv2), which are used to validate what the digital credential represents through associated metadata. This means the badge and certificate platform contains information about skills learners have obtained and can be used to gather insights into the labor market and explore job opportunities based on the skills associated with the credential.
Other benefits of the open badge system include being portable and easy to share across online channels as well as being updatable as you continue developing skills your open badge data will update to reflect them.
